This is my very first blog, and I am easing into the idea of the “TMI” state of mind. Although it’s not in my nature to step into this particular realm, I can’t think of a better time to try my best give the this a shot and take a stroll outside my bubble. I am currently a part of a very exciting Fellowship program by the Flatiron School in NYC and I am happy to to take you along for the ride as I navigate my way through this new chapter in my life. We are a of class of 31 individuals coming together to learn a new skill set that will transform our lives. Overall, my main goal of this experience is to come out of this journey an extremely better version of myself. I am a big believer in sacrificing who you are today, for the person you want to be in the future.
I am a Boston native, with Brasillian blood running through my veins, and now a brand spanking (new) New Yorker! I am very passionate about tech and improving the world we live in today, and about many other things which I’ll expound upon more as I fill up this blog. I try to live life in in the perspective that I am here for a reason, and it is my obligation to find out what my personal legend is. By keeping this in mind each and everyday, with anything I do, I am truly a happy human being. Being happy to me is not an action, but very much a state of mind. I have full control of my happiness and have been fortunate enough to grasp that simple idea.
Through this blog, I hope I can emit a positive force onto you and hope that at the end of each and every post I can at least make you smile =)
With all that said, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes!
Our Greatest Fear
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.”
